Responsibilities:
- Utilize the company ERP system to enter sales orders utilizing system recommended discounts and pricing. Obtain manager approval for pricing adjustments. Use Company approved sales and marketing techniques and tools to include use of Harrington website and E-Commerce platform.
- Determine best delivery methods for each customer order based on customer needs and most economical methods. Coordinate with branch Sales Office Manager on delivery schedules and communicate this information to the customer.
- Prepare and respond to customer requests for pricing and availability quotes by gathering information from submitted bills of material, contacting the customer for additional information, and gathering pricing information from suppliers and the ERP system order entry system using customer discount information. Send the completed quote to the customer and determine quote follow up dates. Maintain quote files.
- Respond to customer requests for order status by gathering information from the computer system, consulting with vendors and with other company personnel and calling the customer with updated information.
- Utilize the company ERP software to create part-item numbers and updating of bill of materials.
- Understands eCommerce platform
- Responsible for receiving materials, pulling and shipping orders for customers, ordering replacement stock and providing excellent customer service and sales support to our valued customers.
- 1-2 years experience or training in industrial wholesale distribution in the pipe, valve and fitting industry preferred
- 1-2 years of sales experience
- Must frequently lift and move 20 pounds, occasionally up to 75 pounds
