POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Senior Graphic Designer supports all marketing efforts through the design of forward thinking, creative graphic elements that maintains the New Jersey Devils and Prudential Center as world-class brands across both traditional and interactive mediums. The mediums include brand campaign assets, ticket sales material, print, OOH, in-arena signage, direct mail, digital content, logos, etc. The Senior Graphic Designer must be a team player who can balance creativity and tight deadlines in our fast-paced environment. Hard work, a positive attitude and dedication are crucial to this position.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Travel Requirements: Travel required on a TBD basis (<10% travel); trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay for one or more nights.
Physical Demands: This position requires the ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
Work Environment: This position generally requires that work be performed from the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ but attendance at events taking place in the arena or offsite, including on weekends and/or holidays, may be required.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE BELOW:
- Designs original creative elements
- Adapts design elements to carry out the continuity of the brands throughout all collateral
- Leads certain design projects, including ticket sales material (fliers, graphics), advertising (digital ads, OOH), in-arena graphics, promotional items, internal communication pieces and presentations, program logos
- Collaborates with digital marketing to create e-mail and web graphic layouts and design
- Conceptualizing and building custom creative concepts for sales pitches and client presentations
- Proofs all materials in an accurate manner, delivering high-quality, timely and error-free drafts
- Serve as a brand ambassador in regards to logo usage and graphic standards
- Maintains ongoing internal communication with key partners as needed
- All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA/BS in graphic design or equivalent related experience
- 4-7 years of graphic design experience, preferably from a sports and entertainment entity or design or advertising agency
- High Level Competency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator)
- Knowledge of AfterEffects and Motion Design is preferred
- Must submit strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects and a demonstrated ability to elevate the creative look and feel of a brand.
- Solid design background; thorough understanding of design theory including principles such as color, typography and composition
- Competency with photo editing
- Knowledge of print production and the pre-press process
- High level understanding of social media platforms and digital user experience design
- Experience with client relationships, understanding client needs and meeting deadlines
- Experience working collaboratively across multiple departments, and actively reaches out and builds relationships in the workplace
- Able to work independently, as well as within a team
- Capable of working on and managing multiple design projects at a given time and executing projects quickly and efficiently
- Detail-oriented and organized, especially under deadline pressure
- Highly creative, with a balance of strategic vision and day-to-day productivity
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Positive attitude
- Experience and passion for sports and/or entertainment preferred
