Role Overview:
The Vice President of Operations will be responsible for leading and optimizing the company’s operational functions across multiple production facilities. This role will oversee manufacturing, distribution, logistics, safety, and quality control while ensuring alignment with corporate objectives. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with a proven track record in operational excellence within the construction materials industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic operational plans to enhance productivity, efficiency, and profitability.
- Oversee production, logistics, and distribution of aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and cement across multiple sites.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations while promoting a culture of safety excellence.
- Drive process improvements, cost optimization, and innovation in manufacturing and supply chain operations.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align operations with company goals and market demands.
- Manage capital expenditures and maintenance programs to ensure operational reliability.
- Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and regulatory agencies.
- Monitor and analyze operational performance metrics, providing data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- 15 years of experience in operations management within the construction materials industry.
- Proven leadership experience managing large-scale manufacturing and distribution operations.
- Strong knowledge of aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and cement production processes.
- Expertise in supply chain management, logistics, and quality control.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and capital projects.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to drive cultural change and promote a high-performance work environment.
- Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other operational excellence methodologies is a plus.
