Fraud Examiner

General Summary:

A Fraud Examiner will provide analysis of bank records by generating spreadsheets showing how stolen proceeds were spent by targets. This person will report to the Chief ADA of the section as well as the Chief Fraud Examiner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Analyze bank records
• Create spreadsheets to summarize voluminous information
• Draft reports to explain how funds move through bank accounts
• Identify missing items in bank records and the existence of other important accounts
• Provide expert testimony in court
• Attend section meetings as needed
• Conduct tasks to assist ADAs and other section personnel
• Assist during the preparation and execution of search warrants
• Intake of consumer fraud complaints from citizens and law enforcement agencies

Required Education and Experience:

• Undergraduate Degree required
• Certification as Fraud Examiner or Licensure as a Certified Public Accountant
• Graduate Degree preferred

Skills Requirements:

• Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Word

Hours:

Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours may vary based on the business needs of the department. Remote or hybrid work schedules are not available.

Salary (Starting):

$40.09 hourly/ $6,948.93 monthly/ $83,387.20 annually
