Duties and Responsibilities:
- Enters court data in Harris County's Justice Courts Information System in Odyssey and JWEB.
- Answering and assisting multi-line switchboard, performs extensive data entry and files in numeric and alpha order.
- Works with the public and processing payments for traffic, criminal, and civil cases.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent from an accredited educational institution.
Licensure:
A valid U.S. driver's license and social security card.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Heavy filing and some experience working with computers and handling a multi-line phone system.
- Basic computer knowledge in a Microsoft Windows based environment.
- Possesses strong oral and written communications skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented, punctual and dependable.
- Capable of multi-tasking, handling high pressure, fast-paced and stressful situations in a calm and professional manner.
- Uses standard office equipment such as computer, copiers, and fax machine.
- Ability to interact and communicate with individuals of diverse background.
- Ability to work well with the public and other staff members.
- Proper English grammar, punctuation, spelling, and business writing.

Two (2) years paid working experience as either a court clerk, administrative assistant in a legal office, or administration of justice office.
Position Type and Typical Hours of Work:
Regular Full-time
Monday - Friday | 40 Hours per week.
Hours will be discussed during departmental interview.
Salary:
18.00 Hourly
Depends on qualification
Based on 26 Pay Periods.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift up to forty (40) pounds.
Employment is contingent upon passing a background check and drug screen.
