Job Summary:
The employee's number one job responsibility is to deliver optimal medication management across all dimensions of care every time. The pharmacy vision is to become World-class pharmacy recognized for excellence. The Formulary Coordinator is responsible for the design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and coordination of all formulary related activities (all subcommittee/taskforce) coordination, drug shortage management and procedures associated with the provision of safe, effective and economical pharmacotherapy for the health system. Responsibilities include the development, and implementation of formulary related policies, guidelines, and standard operating and procedures to ensure compliance with clinical practice and all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Acts as a drug information resource for pharmaceutical products, formulary management and the development and management of pharmacoeconomic programs to streamline medication costs. The primary domains of the Coordinator's activity are collaborating, integrating, facilitating and evaluating. These activities result in the creation and maintenance of safe patient care environments that promote quality, professional pharmacy practice and empower pharmacists to provide effective, compassionate, and efficient pharmaceutical care.
Degrees
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree and Specialty Pharmacy Residency or related pharmacy experience
Masters degree and Specialty Pharmacy Residency or related pharmacy experience
Work Experience: Five (5) year ox experience in clinical pharmacy
Management Experience: Three (3) years of related pharmacy management experience
Communication Skills:Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact) , Exceptional Verbal (e.g., Public Speaking), Writing /Correspondence, Writing /Reports
Proficiencies: MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Access, MS Outlook, P.C.
