Position Summary
The Pharmacy Technician will assist the pharmacist in the provision of pharmaceutical care. Care will correspond to patients’ unique medical needs and will be appropriate to the patient's age—newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult, or geriatric. In accordance with Department and institutional policies/procedures and with the rules/regulations enacted by the State Board of Pharmacy, they will support the Department’s logistic, clinical, technical, and clerical functions.

Minimum Qualifications
Required: High School graduate or equivalent. PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) certification within 1 year of hire or actively pursuing certification (as determined by pharmacy management—not to exceed an additional 6 months) or Licensed Practical Nurse. Ordinary typing skills and computer data entry, written and oral communication skills.
Preferred: Completion or graduation of a pharmacy technician training program or licensed practical nursing program. At least two years’ experience with medication dispensing, preparation, or administration in a non-pharmacy environment or pharmacy experience
