What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Technician - Part Time position at IRMC?
In this role you will be:
- Knowledgeable of the principles of growth and development over the span of life.
- Identifying each patient’s age-specific needs and providing appropriate care for the neonate, pediatric adolescent, or adult patient.
- Identifying high-priority tasks in order to assist the pharmacist with completing and providing superior patient care.
- Completing training and certification in all areas of responsibility including IV admixture, operation of repackaging, labeling, and dispensing equipment.
- Knowledgeable of drugs, dosage forms, and general pharmacy technology.
- Utilizing analytical and mathematical skills to comprehend the broad duties of the position.
- Working accurately with the ability to concentrate and multitask in an abstract environment.
- Utilizing excellent interpersonal communication skills to deal effectively and courteously with customers.
- Able to use the computer, pharmacy automation, and sterile compounding techniques.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- EDUCATION: High school graduate or equivalent
- EXPERIENCE: Comparable experience in healthcare setting will be considered
- LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Must obtain a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) and maintain certification by meeting PTCB standards
