Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Culinary Operations Manager to join our team at Harrison Group. As a key member of our management staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations, ensuring that food is prepared safely, efficiently, and according to specifications or requests. You will work closely with our chefs and kitchen staff to maintain high standards of quality and service.
Key Responsibilities
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, including scheduling and assigning roles based on experience and skills.
- Conduct performance evaluations and handle discipline and termination of employees as needed.
- Oversee the operation of the kitchen, ensuring compliance with all applicable health, safety, and hygiene codes and standards.
- Create and modify menus based on food trends, patron requests, and seasonal availability.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and purchasing of ingredients to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
Requirements
- At least two years of culinary managerial experience, preferably in a similar environment.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Prolonged periods standing and preparing and cooking food, with occasional lifting up to 40 pounds.
