JOBSITE LOCATION: Paris, Tx and surrounding areas
STARTING SALARY: $80,000 - $100,000 (negotiable depending on experience)

JOB SUMMARY: An Earthwork Superintendent oversees and manages construction projects involving excavation, grading, and other earth-moving activities. Their role is critical in ensuring that the job site is properly prepared for subsequent phases of construction, such as foundations, drainage, and utilities.
Here are the typical job duties and responsibilities for an Earthwork Superintendent:
- Oversee the clearing, grading, and leveling of land to prepare the site for construction.
- Ensure that excavation, trenching, and grading activities are performed safely and according to specifications.
- Oversee soil conditions to determine if stabilization, compaction, or other treatments are necessary.
- Ensure that excavation, backfilling, grading, and compaction meet project specifications and quality standards.
- Perform regular inspections to verify that work meets required tolerances for levels, slopes, and compaction.
- Address any issues in earthwork quality, documenting corrections and adjustments made.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A minimum of 5 years of experience in the role of Project Superintendent required estimating and utilities experience is a plus.
