What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clean-up Sanitation Associate position at Harry and David?
The Clean-Up Crew in the Manufacturing areas performs general clean-up duties and support for a sanitary work environment.
- Performs heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning floors, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming them, dumping trash cans, working from ladders, washing belts, cleaning floor drains and adjacent areas.
- Must follow instructions and established processes and procedures.
- Must be able to read English and understand warning labels on cleaning products.
- Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
- Proper use sanitation tools, broom, dust mop, wet mop, dustpan and shovel.
- Works in a safe and sanitary manner.
- Works in a time and speed-oriented environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Must follow BCK Food Safety and Sanitation requirements.
- Physical activity involving bending, lifting, walking, reaching, climbing stairs, repetitive wrist movement, standing for a full shift.
- Work in a team environment with diverse personalities.
- Heavy lifting (50 pounds), pushing and pulling.
- Must be able to self-direct to work within restricted time frames.
