What are the responsibilities and job description for the Panned Candy Operator (Swing Shift) position at Harry and David?
This position is responsible for efficiently producing panned chocolate products that meet company quality standards. Chocolate panning is the continuous application of chocolate coating to centers that are tumbled in a large drum. Foods panned in chocolate typically include nuts, dried fruits, and candies.
Requirements:- High School diploma, GED Certificate or equivalent work-related experience is preferred.
- Some previous work-related experience helpful, but not required.
- Performing physical activities that require use of hands/wrist, walking, bending, balancing, twisting reaching, lifting a minimum of 30 pounds and standing up to 10 hours.
- Working near moving mechanical parts
- Will be working in dust noise and varied temperatures (50˚- 85˚).
- Bakery Candy Kitchen Food Safety, Dress Code and Sanitation requirements must be followed.
- Must be flexible to schedule changes.
- This is a safety sensitive position, subject to initial and follow-up drug testing.
