Design Focused

Harshman CE Group is seeking an experienced Civil/Municipal Design Engineer to support our ongoing and upcoming public and private projects. The ideal candidate should have a strong desire to take our clients’ projects from ideas to construction. You’ll have the opportunity to work independently on your components of each project, while supported within a larger experienced team to accomplish multifaceted projects. In this position you work with project managers to support and coordinate the project, drafters to assist with CAD work, and other engineers with expertise in different aspects of the projects. This position offers opportunities for additional training to help grow your experience and skills.

Typical Activities:

· Create design drawings from concept level to final bid & construction drawings.

· Develop construction estimates.

· Prepare bid documents & technical project specifications

· Review and process field information to support design development.

· Generate information from the design to support permitting efforts.

· Work on Chapter 102 and 105 permitting efforts as needed.

Desired Experience:

· AutoCAD Civil 3D

· Estimating Construction Costs

· Municipal and Private Bidding/Contracting

Bonus Experience:

· Site Design

· Stormwater Management Design/Modeling

· Erosion & Sediment Control Design

· Sanitary Sewer Design

· ADA Accessibility Design

· Paving/Roadway Design

· ESRI ArcGIS Software

Certifications:

· PE licensed candidates are preferred

· Experienced EIT candidates will also be favorably considered.

· Technicians or Designers without certifications will also be considered with experience in the topic of stormwater, wastewater, sanitary sewer engineering, design, permitting, and inspections.

Job Type: Full-time (40 hours per week)

Schedule: Monday – Friday Flexible hours available upon request.

Remote Policy: Partial Remote Work Available to start with additional remote work to be considered periodically.

Pay: $75,000-$100,000 per year.

Salary and benefits are commensurate upon the qualifications of the candidate, with excellent vacation, healthcare, and retirement packages available.
