Job Summary:
Redcon Engineering is a rapidly expanding engineering firm searching for an eager and hardworking candidate to join our close-knit team in Carnegie, PA to help grow our municipal and civil engineering department.
The ideal candidate shall have experience in site development and municipal engineering. The candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and the overseeing of public infrastructure projects within the municipality or working for private developers which includes roads, drainage systems, water supply, sewage systems, land development, stormwater, and other related public work projects. The candidate shall be knowledgeable of Pennsylvania municipal ordinances, federal, state, and local permitting requirements, and be able to work closely with government officials, clients and contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, develop, and review engineering plans, reports, and cost estimates.
- Coordinate with government agencies, utilities, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Preparation of stormwater management, erosion control and sedimentation design/ reports.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Prepare grant applications and funding proposals for municipal projects.
- Respond to public inquiries and concerns regarding engineering matters.
- Preparation of proposal and client coordination.
- Supervise junior engineers, technicians, and field staff as required.
- Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure projects meet regulatory standards and engineering best management practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in municipal, civil or land development engineering.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, project management, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in CAD software, GIS, and engineering analysis tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work with diverse teams.
General Requirements:
- Office-based with occasional site visits and fieldwork.
- Attendance at public meetings

Salary:
$90,000 - $120,000 commensurate upon experience
