Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the construction process, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Superintendent will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and coordination on the construction site.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations on the construction site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Manage project scheduling and coordinate activities among various trades to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Utilize construction management software such as HeavyBid for budgeting and project tracking.
- Conduct regular quality control inspections to ensure work meets specifications and standards.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop detailed schematics and plans for construction projects.
- Prepare and review construction estimates, ensuring accuracy in material costs and labor requirements.
- Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing OSHA regulations and conducting safety meetings.
- Communicate effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, and team members to resolve issues as they arise.
- Document progress through reports and maintain accurate records of site activities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Superintendent or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction management software.
- Proficient in budgeting, project scheduling, quality control, and construction estimating.
- Familiarity with reading schematics and blueprints is essential.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage conflicts effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of Refrigeration, Ductwork, Layout & Piping installation is required.
- Must be Bilingual (English & Spanish)
