What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Learning Program Secondary Teacher(2243) position at Hart Middle School?
Professional, temporary teaching staff needed to teach SECONDARY courses in multiple disciplines for the Rochester Community Schools 2025 Summer Learning Program. Applications for these temporary positions will be accepted until filled.
Teachers will be expected to implement innovative instructional techniques that will lead to improved student achievement. Emphasis will be given to higher level thinking skills, organizational skills, integration of knowledge, connecting learning to prior knowledge, cooperative learning, active participation of the learner, and integration of technology. Teachers will be expected to administer the RCS common assessments appropriate for the particular assigned course of instruction. Actual numbers of positions are dependent upon the enrollment.
Hart Middle School
6500 Sheldon Rd., Rochester Hills, Michigan
Session 1: June 16 to June 26 (no class June 19)
Session II: June 30 to July 10 (no class July 4)
Session III: July 14 to July 23 Online
Hours: 7:30am – 2:30 pm
Mandatory Staff Meeting: June 12th, ACE High School
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Secondary Michigan Teaching Certificate.
- Desire to work with at-risk students.
- Desire to work with students who need to be academically challenged.

SALARY:
$2800 stipend per session
