Summary: The Event Server is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient service of food and beverages to guests during catered events. You will work closely with the banquet captain, kitchen staff, and Catering Sales Manager to provide excellent service and create a memorable dining experience for guests.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of event spaces, including arranging furniture, setting tables, and decorating according to event themes or specifications.
• Ensure that all setup tasks are completed efficiently and accurately, creating a welcoming and visually appealing environment for guests.
• Ensure an exceptional event experience by following the Company's standard of service.
• Greet guests upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
• Take and relay orders with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the menu, including specials and beverage offerings.
• Offer recommendations and answer any questions regarding specific menu items.
• Input orders accurately into the POS system and ensure timely delivery of orders to the guest's table.
• Set and clear tables under restaurant standards.
• Monitor the dining area for cleanliness and appearance.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of meals and accommodate special dietary requests or allergies.
• Work closely with the event captain and Catering Sales Manager to ensure all details are executed according to the event plan.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and health and safety guidelines.
• Adhere to alcohol service regulations and age verification.
• Address guest concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
Must Haves:
• Previous experience as a server in a restaurant or banquet setting.
• Knowledge of POS
• Knowledge of basic food safety and health regulations
• Customer-centric
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods.
• Lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to work in a high-demand and fast-paced work environment.
