Key Responsibilities
Email Strategy and Execution
Email Strategy and Execution
- Develop and manage an email marketing calendar to support ticket sales, partnership activation, match promotions, and community initiatives.
- Create engaging, targeted email campaigns that drive conversions and deepen fan relationships.
- Analyze email performance metrics and optimize campaigns to improve open rates, click-through rates, and ROI.
Public Relations and Communications
- Lead the development of Hartford Athletic’s public facing messaging ensuring quality, accuracy and consistency in brand voice
- Build relationships with local and regional media outlets to secure coverage of team milestones, community initiatives, and matchdays.
- Draft and distribute press releases, media advisories, game notes, and other communications materials.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for media inquiries and manage press activities on matchdays.
Website Management
- Maintain and update the Hartford Athletic and Trinity Health Stadium website with accurate and timely information.
- Manage web pages for ticketing, promotions, match previews, player profiles, and community initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the website aligns with broader marketing and branding efforts.
- Optimize website content and structure for SEO to drive organic traffic and improve discoverability.
Match Day Experience
- Collaborate with internal teams to create a memorable and engaging matchday experience for fans.
- Promote matchday events and activities through digital and traditional channels.
- Gather feedback from fans and analyze post-match surveys to continually enhance the matchday experience.
- Manage video and field board assets and execution
Content Creation
- Develop compelling content for various channels, with a focus on written content
- Support storytelling initiatives that highlight players, fans, and the team’s community impact.
- Work closely with the creative team to produce visuals and multimedia assets.
- Ensure content aligns with the team’s brand voice and messaging.
App Management
- Oversee the Hartford Athletic mobile app, ensuring timely updates and engaging content.
- Collaborate with internal teams to utilize the app for ticket sales, match reminders, promotions, and exclusive content.
- Monitor app performance and implement improvements to enhance user experience.
Performance Measurement & Optimization
- Establish KPIs for each platform and regularly report on performance metrics
- Analyze user engagement across platforms to identify trends and opportunities
- Implement A/B testing on key campaigns to optimize messaging effectiveness
- Provide regular reporting to leadership on digital platform performance
- Make data-driven recommendations for improving cross-platform engagement
Specific Job Knowledge and Qualifications:
- Must have a strong knowledge of soccer
- News writing and editing skills
- Experience with Adobe Suite
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays on an as-needed basis as well as for all match days during internship
- Ability to speak Spanish preferred but not required
- The position will require in-person work
