Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care, including bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, dressing, and undressing
- Help clients move around safely
- Report changes in a client's physical condition, behavior, or appearance
- Assist with housekeeping tasks, including meal preparation, feeding, light housekeeping, changing linens, making beds, and laundering clothes and bedding
- Monitor and document client health data
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop personalized care plans
- Push a manual wheelchair or drive a wheelchair accessible vehicle
Other duties
- Provide companionship to patients
- Take clients to their medical appointments, the grocery store, and other important places
- Support access to community, social, and leisure activities
- Support with medication
