DescriptionJob Schedule : Full TimeStandard Hours : 40Job Shift : Shift 1Shift Details : Associate Medical Director - General Psychiatry - New Britain, CTHartford HealthCare's Behavioral Health Network (HHC BHN) has a new opportunity available for a BC / BE Psychiatrist to join our cohesive behavioral health team by providing Leadership and Psychiatry services at The Hospital of Central Connecticut (HOCC) located in New Britain, CT.Some highlights of this opportunity include : Provide psychiatric services for adult, adolescent, and child clients on in-patient units, and for the partial hospitalization programs.Provide direct patient services including diagnostic admission evaluations, psychotherapy, and pharmacotherapy, as appropriate.Work within a multi-disciplinary treatment team and may act as a clinical team leader for the coordination and supervision of care provided across clinical disciplines.Complete timely documentation of assessments, clinical interventions, and discharge summaries and update records as specified in medical staff regulations.Monitor risk indicators and act to address risk management issues in a timely manner to ensure client, staff, and visitor safety.Adhere to prescribing practices that are safe and evidence-based.Act as liaison and communicate effectively with outside providers, primary care physicians, schools, and family members as needed.Provide rotational coverage at Natchaug Hospital, Windham Community Memorial Hospital, and / or United Services.Provide supervision to selected non-physician health professionals.Participate in Medical Staff Committees and meetings as specified in Medical Staff regulations.Oversee psychiatric Consult and liaison services for the local general hospital.Supervise clinical training in community psychiatry for fellows, residents, and students rotating through this site.Participate in the HHC Provider Leadership Development Institute and the Office of Provider Wellness.Receive a competitive salary plus comprehensive benefits including low-cost, high-quality medical / dental, STD / LTD, matching 401(k), generous paid time off, CME, and more.Eligibility to apply for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.About HOCC : The Hospital of Central Connecticut is an acute-care community teaching hospital providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services.About the Hartford HealthCare Behavioral Health Network : The Hartford HealthCare BHN is an expansive psychiatric treatment, research, and academic network.The BHN offers : A career trajectory through academic, research, and leadership opportunities.A mentorship program and virtual daily grand rounds.A well-structured and highly integrated healthcare system that allows easy collaboration amongst providers.QualificationsExperience in adult, adolescent, or child in-patient and evaluation services, experience with a multidisciplinary team treatment model.Board Certified or Board Eligible psychiatrist.State of CT, Department of Public Health license; DEA; CCSR.Computer and keyboarding skills required.Our location : Located near Boston and New York City, Connecticut offers you and your family access to a lifestyle that is second to none.For additional information and 1 : 1 discussion : Please contactSamuel McNeil, Physician RecruiterSamuel.McNeil@hhchealth.orgor call / text : 860-637-5571#J-18808-Ljbffr
