Assistant Director of Special Services The Hartford School District (SD 54) in east central Vermont is seeking an Assistant Director of Special Services. The Assistant Director of Special Services will work under the direction of the Director of Special Services to provide oversight and leadership for special education services across the district. This includes organizing, planning, directing and supervising all aspects of special education services; supervising professional and paraprofessional staff, including recruiting, hiring and training staff; collaborating with the building based administrators; and managing district regional collaborative programs for students with cognitive, emotional and behavioral challenges. The candidate must have experience with multi-tiered system of supports, be able to work with a variety of stakeholder groups, and have a strong understanding of state and federally mandated fiscal and compliance reporting.
