The Director of Special Education is responsible for organizing, planning, directing and supervising all aspects of special education services including supervising professional and paraprofessional staff, recruiting, hiring and training staff in conjunction with the building based administrators and managing district regional collaborative programs for students with cognitive, emotional and behavioral challenges. The candidate must have experience developing a multi-tiered system of supports and be able to work with a variety of stakeholder groups.
