Now, we’re looking for a Purchasing Supervisor to join our team and play a crucial role in sourcing equipment, goods, and services, managing vendors, and optimizing our inventory operations. What You’ll Do:
✅ Develop, lead, and execute purchasing strategies with optimal business terms.
✅ Oversee storeroom inventory layout, part labeling, and spare parts management.
✅ Collaborate on capital projects and strategic procurement planning.
✅ Forecast market trends to optimize purchasing decisions.
✅ Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counting and physical audits.
✅ Identify and remove obsolete stock, reducing waste and improving efficiency.
✅ Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee purchasing receipts.
✅ Lead and develop a team to drive purchasing excellence.
What You Bring:
✔️ Education & Experience – Post-secondary degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Business Management, plus 5 years in procurement/inventory management within a manufacturing environment.
✔️ Strategic Thinking – Strong negotiation skills with a keen eye for contracts, sourcing, and vendor management.
✔️ Tech-Savvy – Proficiency in inventory and vendor management software, Business Intelligence tools, and Microsoft Excel.
✔️ Analytical & Decisive – Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
✔️ Flexible & Committed – Willingness to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation and adapt to business needs.
