Hartson-Kennedy Inc. is a manufacturer and fabricator of laminate countertops. We offer a rewarding opportunity for a Human Resources Manager at our corporate offices and manufacturing facility located in Marion, IN.
The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for providing HR direction for the organization with a focus on recruitment, employee relations, employee benefits, and oversight of the strategic execution of objectives.
Responsibilities:
· Recruitment
o Works with hiring managers to identify personnel needs, workforce planning strategies, and search assignments.
o Leads sourcing, screening, interviewing activities as well as recommending prospective employees for employment at all levels within the Company.
o Coordinates internal and external recruitment processes, including the identification of candidate sources, placement of advertisements, internal/external job postings, and scheduling of interviews.
o Negotiates and prepares job offers for candidates.
o Monitors activities and maintains accurate documentation on all candidates, searches, and other recruiting activities to ensure compliance with government regulations.
o Monitors and evaluates KPIs such as time to fill, costs vs budget.
· Employee Relations
o Counsels and coaches supervisors and managers as needed on areas such as employee engagement, communications, performance, disciplinary action, etc.
o Plans and conducts new employee orientation.
o Provides guidance and direction to employees at all levels of the company regarding Company policies and procedures and general employee issues.
o Assists in developing and delivering human resources communications as needed.
o Assists in employee performance management
· Benefits Administration
o Responds to all employee and retiree benefit inquiries. Facilitates resolution of issues and problems.
o Assists with the day-to-day administration of health, dental, wealth, life and ancillary benefit programs, activities and projects.
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
· 5 years’ experience in human resources.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Strong leadership, management, and organizational skills with the ability to plan, coordinate, and oversee multiple projects and initiatives.
· A proficient understanding and application of Federal, State laws, such as, EEOC, FMLA, ADA, HIPPA, COBRA.
