What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resource Generalist position at Hartung Glass Industries?
The Human Resources Generalist manages day-to-day administrative functions for the facility while acting as the front-line interface for employee questions regarding payroll, benefits, employment processes and various concerns. Heavy emphasis on recruiting and onboarding. This position reports to the Washington State HR Manager
Requirements
Responsible for full-cycle, high-volume recruiting and onboarding.
- Review resumes, schedule and conduct phone interviews, and make recommendations to hiring managers.
- Greet candidates onsite, deliver tours, prepare hiring managers for interviews, ensure schedules are maintained.
- Facilitate the new-hire on-boarding process including generating offer letters, and processing drug screens and background checks.
- Conduct new hire orientations, which includes completing required documents, review of company benefits, policies, and insurance options.
- Review and respond to HR matters including benefits, compensation, training, payroll, and employee relations.
- Maintain and monitor employee attendance records for potential disciplinary process or FMLA triggers.
- Conduct exit interviews and process exiting / terminated employee paperwork.
- Lead, plan and organize celebrations and employee events.
