Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Assist the Controller and accounting team with the month-end closing processes.
* Communicate with General Managers to evaluate financial performance with their Budget.
* Manages members of the accounting team as assigned by the Controller.
* Team with Controller to coordinate the annual budget process for each location.
* Partner with location General Managers to identify and understand key drivers of financial performance.
* Monitor the recording and reconciliation of Treasury/Cash Management.
* Compares financial performance with operating plans and interprets the results.
* Provides other managers and departments with information required by them to carry out their assigned responsibilities.
* Team with CFO and Controller to manage relationships with outside accountants and facilitate the corporate tax filings.
*Establishes, maintains, and improves systems and controls which verify the integrity of all financial processes and data.
* Manage employees with effective communication, coaching and organizational development practices.
* Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations.
* Support payroll functions as a backup, Paylocity experience preferred.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· Effectively manage members of the accounting team by providing leadership, training, motivation and mentoring. Responsible for the performance of the team in the areas of general ledger reconciliation and sales tax compliance.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training direct reports; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; coaching and implementing corrective actions.
- Ensures on-going performance feedback is provided to staff.
Salary $100-$125k
