Description
Under limited supervision and with minimal technical guidance, the Maintenance Technician keeps all plant machinery and mechanical equipment in good working condition and repair. Day shift position open.
Requirements
Performs a variety of mechanical duties throughout the entire plant including electrical, plumbing, welding, etc.
· Examines machines to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment failure.
· Dismantles machines, replaces defective parts, reassembles machines and makes necessary adjustments to ensure efficient operation.
· May occasionally make replacement parts.
· Performs preventive maintenance to glass fabrication machinery.
· May fabricate machine guards, install or repair conveyers, replace motors, tear down or replace pumps, maintain fluid collection or distribution equipment or repair electro-mechanical equipment.
· Informs Maintenance Supervisor if parts or supplies need to be ordered.
· Maintains a clean work area and ensures all tools are in good working order.
· Follows all safety protocols while performing maintenance duties.
· 2-3 years Mechanical exp; 2 yrs electrical exp.
· Industrial maintenance exp required.
· 5 years of manufacturing machinery maintenance experience
· Experience with electrical, welding, plumbing, mechanical repairs, etc.
· CNC machine maintenance experience highly preferred
· PLC drive, schematic a plus
