Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and versatile Yard and Appliance Delivery Team Member to join our store team. This position involves working in the yard to pull lumber jobs, managing and preparing appliances in the warehouse for delivery, assisting with appliance deliveries, and supporting dispatch operations as needed.Key Responsibilities:
- Pull and prepare job materials for customers and contractors based on work orders.
- Maintain an organized and efficient yard area, ensuring materials are easily accessible and properly stored.
- Perform routine inventory checks to ensure stock accuracy and availability.
- Operate a forklift to load, unload, and move materials safely and efficiently.
- Pull and prepare appliances for scheduled deliveries.
- Inspect appliances for damage and ensure all items are in proper condition before delivery.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
- Operate a forklift to handle large or heavy appliances as needed.
- Assist delivery teams with loading and unloading appliances safely and efficiently.
- Accompany delivery drivers to customer locations to assist with installation and setup as needed.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by providing courteous and professional service during deliveries.
- Assist with scheduling and dispatching appliance deliveries as required.
- Coordinate with delivery drivers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of appliances.
- Communicate with customers to confirm delivery times and address any inquiries.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, delivery, or dispatching role is preferred.
- Forklift operation experience is required.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 100 lbs. regularly)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Familiarity with hardware or appliance products is a plus.
- Combination of indoor and outdoor work, with exposure to varying weather conditions.
