The Marketplace Assistant Manager guides a team of gifted people dedicated to giving our customers the great customer service they have come to expect. Through a combination of attention to detail, seamless execution of duties, and a heavy dose of care for people, they will be a steady presence during the exhilarating times at the marketplace when every minute counts.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Deliver superior service and maximize guest satisfaction.
- Promote positive team member morale by setting an example through personal work habits, and attitude and adhering to all company policies and procedures.
- Gives encouragement and proper recognition for performance.
- Provide leadership and assistance to customer service, balancing and maintenance when needed.
- Coach team members to maintain a high level of guest service.
- Respond to guest concerns or problems to restore and promote good public relations.
- Observe and evaluate team members and work procedures to ensure quality standards and service.
- Assist the Food Service Manager to improve operational efficiency.
- Managing inventory and supplies.
- Request equipment maintenance as needed and follows up to ensure the equipment is operating properly.
- Schedule and monitor labor hours and payroll dollars.
- Able to lead special events and the Flea.
- Ensure compliance with sanitation and food safety regulations.
- Other duties assigned by management.
- Oversee billing and ensure all indoor vendors are current with rent payments.
Essential Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent, hospitality management is a plus
- 2 years of work experience
- Strong leadership, motivational, and people skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Familiarity scheduling software.
