The Job
A Field Service Technician (Service Engineer) contributes to the success of Hartwig by keeping our customers' CNC machine tools running at peak operating levels by performing preventive maintenance.
This is a great entry level opportunity for someone with mechanical maintenance experience who wants to learn about CNC machines. Main responsibilities of this full-time role based in the Kansas City, MO area include :
- Conduct efficient and timely preventive maintenance to include changing fluids, filters and checking accuracy of calibrations
- Recommend maintenance modifications and improvements to machines, equipment and processes
- Train and instruct customers on preventive maintenance best practices
- Schedule preventive maintenance customer visits
- Increase field sales by promoting the PM program and other opportunities
- Conduct inventory counts
- Ability to complete necessary tasks in our service software and timecard system on a daily basis
- Traveling to customer sites, usually within 2 hours from home, with occasional overnight travel
