What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Parts Coordinator position at Hartwig?
Hartwig is one of the nation's leading distributors for CNC machine tools. Our Parts Coordinator contributes to the success by providing customer service to our internal and external manufacturing customers needing to place an order. Request for new and/or replacement parts for the CNC machines come to this team by phone or email. They research parts, place orders, and proactively communicate the status of an order. They must have the ability to recognize and manage urgency.
This position is 100%remote and only reviewing applicants local to Omaha, NE area.
Main responsibilities of the role:
- Responds to requests from customers by answering calls or emails
- Gathers customer information such as machine model, serial number, part number, etc. to ensure accurate ordering of parts
- Research customer requests to identify correct solution and provide quotes
- Orders entry of specific vendor parts to be validated with Bill of Materials
- Perform necessary inquiries to expedite orders or fill down machine requests
- Works with vendors on credits and invoices
- Provides consistent timely updates to service team members in a proactive manner
Skills and Qualifications:
- Must be local to Omaha, NE
- Must be able to travel to St. Louis, MO one week out of the month for the first 6months of employment
- Previous purchasing experience in manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience working in Microsoft Outlook, Excel; any type of PMS or DMS
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and problem solve, understanding of cause and effect
- Excellent attention to detail and follow through
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and customer relationship building skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team
