Searching for a full-time Operations Manager for a growing locally-owned outpatient physical therapy company with 6 locations in Lancaster, PA. Applicant should have strong leadership skills and the ability to approach business with a creative point of view to assist the CEO and CFO manage the day-to-day operations of the business. The ideal candidate has administrative and management experience in the healthcare field as well as a strong desire to grasp new skills.
Responsibilities of this role
- Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
- Collaborate with Leadership team to ensure smooth operations helping to build a positive culture that ensures team members can thrive and that organizational goals are met
- Schedule management including proactively adjusting coverage to ensure maximum utilization of staff and securing coverage for schedule changes.
- Monthly reporting responsibilities including thorough knowledge of Microsoft Excel to download and manipulate customized reports from the EMR and billing systems.
- Human resources functions including new hire onboarding and management of employee benefits plans as well as management and updating of policies and procedures manual.
- Compliance with HIPAA including annual employee training
- Direct oversight / management of outsourced billing operations to ensure appropriate utilization of Billing Liaison.
- Coordinate credentialling of new providers
- Ensure effective recruiting, onboarding, professional development, performance management, and retention
- Oversee new business initiatives including utilizing technology to increase productivity of employees and a strong aptitude to troubleshoot technology issues as needed.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions
- Manage projects and initiatives to drive operational excellence
Required skills and qualifications
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business operations or similar major
- Three or more years of experience in health care management
- Demonstrated ability to work cohesively with a team toward a common goal
- Proven experience in process improvement and project management
- Excellent leadership skills, positive attitude and strong initiative to achieve new skills
- Thorough understanding of HIPAA and other healthcare compliance issues
- Solid grasp of Microsoft Excel, data analysis and performance metrics
- Ability to diagnose problems quickly and coordinate potential solutions
- Quick to grasp new technology and initiative to independently solve issues
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
