Description
General Responsibilities
Responsibilities include setting up and starting mold machines while verifying the set up is done correctly to written work standards. You will troubleshoot equipment when necessary and make adjustments accordingly.
Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up and start up mold equipment
- Document and make tooling and equipment adjustments
- Troubleshoot machine equipment and tooling issues during production
- Tooling review: pins, bushing and threaded holes
- Press & drum health; general mold condition
- Platen condition and alignment of mold halves
- Inspect items to ensure a consistent level of quality
- Work with vendors
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
Maintenance and Repairs
- Complete Preventative Maintenance on Production floor in a timely manner or as communicated by department manager.
- Perform Mold repairs, as assigned.
- Assist with Mold issues on the Production floor.
- Support mold qualifications and/or other Engineering projects, as needed.
- Support the production floor with daily tasks. Included, but not limited to, mold changes, loading parts, and machine start-ups.
- Repair or install solutions to production safety issues.
Documentation
- Maintain documentation of mold condition and status.
- Accurately complete paperwork and system transactions to ensure component traceability
- Maintain press schedule for design demand.
- Complete packing slips for items going to vendors or Advanced Manufacturing.
Job Requirements/Technical Skills
- Read, understand, and execute detailed work instructions.
- Read and understand drawings.
- Experience with precision measuring.
- Above average math skills.
- Above average mechanical ability.
- Understanding of PLC
- Operation and understanding of press molding equipment.
- Use of hand tools to trim, sand, or grind components.

- Forklift

- Fire Extinguisher

Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 5 years mold and die tooling experience.
- Demonstration of knowledge regarding various tools used as a Mold Assembly Technician.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of walking, standing, and working on concrete production floor.
- Manual dexterity to evaluate, install, and modify equipment.
