The Smith Center for Outcomes Research and the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) invite applications for a part-time academic faculty position at the level of Section Head for Epidemiology and Data Science.
We are seeking an outstanding candidate with a doctoral degree (PhD, ScD, or equivalent) in epidemiology, biostatistics, or a related quantitative discipline, and a strong record of methodologic and applied research in cardiovascular outcomes. Ideal candidates will have a national reputation in causal inference, evidence synthesis, target trial emulation, or related domains and demonstrated experience in grant-funded research, academic mentorship, and leadership in collaborative, interdisciplinary environments.
The successful candidate will:
- Lead the Section for Epidemiology and Data Science at the Smith Center.
- Collaborate with faculty in cardiology and other disciplines across BIDMC and Harvard Medical School.
- Contribute to research that informs clinical decision-making, policy, and implementation in cardiovascular care.
- Serve as a mentor to trainees and junior investigators and contribute to academic activities within the Smith Center and Division.
