Harvest Homes is seeking a full-time Behavioral Support Director to join our team. Role Overview
The Behavioral Support Director will:
- Manage a caseload of residents, providing positive support to residents and staff.
- Conduct functional assessments and develop person-centered behavioral, activity, and service plans focused on proactive strategies and interventions.
- Train, coach, and mentor staff at all levels to implement positive behavior support plans and principles effectively.
- Provide prompts, reminders, and reinforcement to behavior team members to support documentation compliance and quality assurance efforts.
- Monitor plan impact, revising strategies and updating training as necessary.
- Ensure all interactions reflect the principles of positive behavior support.
Responsibilities
- Maintain professional communication and represent organizational values.
- Commit to a 40 hour workweek, including one weekend day and occasional evening or extra shifts as needed
- Assist with ensuring documentation accuracy and adherence to quality assurance standards by supporting behavior team members without direct supervision responsibilities.
- Coordinate team shift coverage and oversee on-call responsibilities to ensure continuous availability with at least one team member always on duty
- Develop training materials and assist with staff coaching practices for all levels.
- Audit resident charts and review incident reports to ensure compliance.
- Perform duties as directed by the regional director of behavior services, based on organizational needs and the individual’s demonstrated skills and competencies.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in psychology, human services, or special education (preferred).
- Educational background in behavior science, such as applied behavior analysis, is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of one year of experience in positive behavior support services (with a Master’s degree) or three years of experience (with a Bachelor’s degree)
- Experience providing positive behavior support services to adults with complex needs, including disabilities, mental health conditions, substance use challenges, co-occurring disorders, neurocognitive disorders, and histories of trauma.
- Prior experience working in residential care settings or group home management is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a State of Oregon background check.
Compensation and Benefits
- Starting salary: $25- $30 Based on experience.
