Logistics & Work Environment:
This full-time position is primarily based in an office environment at our Midlands (Columbia) branch.
Standard hours of operation are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., totaling 37.5 hours per week, though occasional response to organizational needs outside of regular hours may be necessary.
A Day in the Life:
The Project Manager at Harvest Hope Food Bank (HHFB) will oversee and drive strategic initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, donor engagement, and community impact. This role requires a highly organized and proactive leader who can coordinate cross-functional teams, manage timelines and budgets, and ensure the successful execution of projects that support our mission to fight hunger in South Carolina.

Project Planning and Execution
- Develop, manage, and track project plans, timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful project execution.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment across departments such as Operations, Marketing, Philanthropy, and Programs.
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure goals are met.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track project success and provide regular updates to leadership.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders.
Operational and Process Improvement
- Analyze current workflows and processes to identify areas for efficiency improvements.
- Implement project management best practices to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
- Develop standardized processes for recurring projects to ensure consistency and sustainability.
- Lead post-project evaluations to assess impact, capture lessons learned and refine future strategies.
Engagement and Communication
- Serve as the central point of contact for project-related communications, ensuring transparency and alignment.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and updates for senior leadership, donors, and key stakeholders.
- Work closely with community partners, vendors, and funding sources to support project goals and initiatives.
- Coordinate grant-funded projects, ensuring compliance with donor requirements and reporting deadlines.
- Manage project budgets, ensuring expenses align with financial goals and funding requirements.
- Oversee resource allocation, ensuring teams have the necessary tools and support to execute projects effectively.
- Identify opportunities to leverage existing resources to maximize impact.
To Qualify for this Position, you must have:
- Bachelor's degree in communications, Business Administration, project management or related study.
- Project Management Profession (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years project management experience in non-profit, healthcare, food service, or education sectors.
- Self-starter, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in project management software, preferred.
- Excellent communications, interpersonal and customer service skills; comfortable with public speaking.
- Must be able to clearly articulate HHFB's mission.
- Ability to relate effectively and professionally with other staff, volunteers, agency representatives and the public.

We offer competitive pay ranging from $55,000 - 65,000 annually, equal with experience and qualifications.
