Duties:
- As a Payments Planning Manager, you are responsible for planning and reporting large-scale programs and projects that drive the strategic operational goals of the Payments organization.
- You will work cross-functionally to improve productivity and efficiency, and do so with clear communication, executing a roadmap governance framework, and deep focus on overall continuous planning and reporting (goals/priorities, performance / project tracking).
- This role will be based in San Francisco, CA and report to the Sr. Business Operations Manager, Payments.
- Work with operational stakeholders to understand change management requirements, develop a framework for managing process launches and changes, and includes all required approvals.
- Develop regular reporting content and cadence to ensure all team members are aware of upcoming and ongoing changes, to keep all stakeholders up to date on the rapidly changing environment.
- Ability to review complex process and procedure documents with attention to detail to identify potential issues, inaccuracies, or areas of risk.
What:
- Work with Payments Planning Lead and Product Managers to execute planning processes, tools, reporting, and cadence for effective management of Payments products and services.
- Responsible for planning and tracking strategic priorities across all departments within the Payments organization.
- Assess and anticipate risks associated with projects, change management, and ensure creative and effective mitigations are available.
- Enable communication of project status and deliverables to key stakeholders.
- Support the Payments Business Ops team to define, launch, and execute various strategic and operational projects.
- Extremely strong and proven ability implementing and executing a product team governance framework, including strategy, framework and tooling
How:
- Ensure project and status communication and collaboration cadences integrate effectively to the overall communications rhythm for the Payments organization.
- Effectively manage change by influencing and communicating with key stakeholders.
- Prepare presentations and clearly communicate project deliverables to extended leadership within Payments and external stakeholders.
- Collect operational requirements and work with stakeholders to assess and prioritize according to operational benefit.
- Leverage best practices and continually drive process improvements but work creatively to drive execution and simplification.
- Proactive about reaching out to stakeholders, managing timelines and deliverables.
Skills:
- 8 years of project/program management experience, with emphasis on.
- 8 program management best practices and methods.
- Preferably in a 8 high-growth high-volume service operations environment.
- Strong critical thinking & communication skills.
- Deep knowledge and experience using collaborative project management tools and processes (e.g. JIRA, Asana, AirTable Smartsheets, Google docs, scrum, agile) Airtable Automation and Database design is strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally to enable collaboration, transparency, and accountability across teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree in business or technical field or equivalent job experience.
- Passion to work on unstructured business problems to help drive & influence change. Strong understanding of software product development processes and methodologies. Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification or equivalent project management or agile certification will be a plus.
- Experience working directly on change management programs.

The hiring range for this position is $80 to $91 per hour. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity, and may also vary depending on candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience amongst other factors.
