Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safety programs to reduce workplace hazards.
- Conduct regular HSE audits and incident investigations to identify areas for improvement.
- Perform HSE reviews for projects and equipment to ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations.
- Manage environmental permitting and compliance to minimize our ecological footprint.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop emergency response plans and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HSE records.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in engineering or science, with 3 years in HSE compliance.
- Strong knowledge of Cal/OSHA, DTSC, and EPA regulations.
- Experience working in laboratory, field, greenhouse, and office environments.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- BS/MS in Safety, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to pass drug and background checks.
- Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technician, Associate Safety Professional, or other professional certification a plus.
