Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional

The Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional will be responsible for overseeing the care and support provided to individuals with intellectual disabilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of intellectual disabilities and be dedicated to improving the quality of life for those under their care. They will work closely with the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized plans of care, oversee the implementation of those plans, and ensure that all documentation is accurate and up to date.

Responsibilities*

  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized plans of care for individuals with intellectual disabilities, in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Ensure that all care provided follows regulatory standards, agency policies, and funding source requirements
  • Provide supervision and training to direct care staff, as needed
  • Coordinate and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to review individual progress and adjust plans of care as needed
  • Ensure that all required documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted in a timely manner
  • Participate in the admission and discharge process for individuals with intellectual disabilities, including completing assessments and developing transition plans
  • Monitor and report any incidents or changes in condition to appropriate parties, such as healthcare professionals, family members, or regulatory agencies
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with individuals with intellectual disabilities, their families, and other stakeholders
  • Perform his/her work in accordance with the currently approved method of practice set forth by the State of Idaho, Department of Health and Welfare rules and regulations regarding Program Coordinators (QIDPs), for Residential Habilitation Agencies
  • Conduct at least one monthly face-to-face meeting with each of the assigned residential habilitation participants of HAS Incorporated and provide documentation of these meetings
  • Serve as an effective resource for company policy, utilizing good judgment, discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism to respond to family, guardians, and service coordinators
  • Complete data collection reviews on QVR each month
  • Train staff on QVR during orientation training
  • Complete or update an annual Functional Assessment for each Participant
  • Complete 6-month and 12-month status reviews within the time limit allowed by the state
  • Write behavioral intervention plans
  • Shall participate during the Participant’s Individual Support Planning process and develop the Habilitation Implementation Plans in a timely manner
  • Shall coordinate the Participants' needs with the Plan Developer or the Targeted Service Coordinator as needed
  • Will revise and update the Participant’s Habilitation Plan and PIPs as needed
  • Monitor all information on QVR
  • Assure all documentation for each participant is done correctly, accurately, and within the correct time limits
  • Coordinate Participant schedules
  • Other duties and responsibilities specified by the administrator or program manager

Qualifications*

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as social work, psychology, or human services
  • Minimum of two years of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, including one year of supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards, agency policies, and funding source requirements related to the care of individuals with intellectual disabilities
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse interdisciplinary team
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening
  • Will participate in HAS Inc’s in-service/training program
  • Will have current CPR/1st Aid
  • Maintain high standards of ethical conduct
  • Attend a minimum of 8 hours of ongoing training annually

9am - 5pm weekdays
40 hours/week

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $52,000.00 per year
