Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Project Manager to oversee the migration of a datacenter from Boston to New Hampshire, transitioning to a Private Cloud environment. The ideal candidate will have strong project management expertise coupled with technical knowledge of data center migration, firewall configurations, networks, and servers. This role requires hands-on experience in managing complex infrastructure projects, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams to ensure seamless execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and manage the end-to-end datacenter migration from Boston to New Hampshire.
- Ensure successful migration of firewalls, networks, and servers to a Private Cloud environment.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and risk management strategies.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure infrastructure readiness for migration.
- Monitor project progress and address any technical or operational challenges.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Ensure adherence to best practices, security standards, and compliance requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 12 years of experience in Infrastructure Project Management.
- Proven experience managing data center migrations or similar large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of:
- Excellent understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with Private Cloud solutions and tools.
- Experience in risk assessment and mitigation strategies specific to infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with security and compliance requirements for datacenter operations.
