The HashiCorp R&D Operations group is dedicated to driving operational excellence across our rapidly scaling R&D organization. Within this group, the R&D Productivity team focuses on building and refining processes, tools and ways of working that empower our Engineering, Product Management, and Design teams to deliver secure, reliable, high-value products efficiently and effectively. Our mission is to enable seamless collaboration, optimize execution, and support continuous improvement, ensuring R&D can meet the growing complexity of our business with agility and impact.
What you'll do (responsibilities)
- Develop a comprehensive roadmap for the R&D organization's use of Atlassian tooling, detailing strategic initiatives and timelines. Design and lead the implementation of a standardized, scalable, and efficient Jira framework that supports robust product and software development processes. Ensure that tool configurations, workflows, and dashboard setups meet organizational goals and adhere to industry best practices. Regularly evaluate these configurations to align with evolving business needs and technological advancements.
- Incorporate AI technologies to automate and enhance the efficiency of Atlassian workflows, data analysis, and decision-making processes within the R&D organization. Lead or participate in projects that utilize AI to optimize Jira and other Atlassian tool functionalities.
- Create and operationalize a governance model to maintain process consistency, support continuous improvement, and ensure alignment with organizational priorities.
- Develop and implement the change management and enablement strategies, training programs, and communication plans to drive adoption of improved Atlassian tooling and practices.
- Produce process documentation, training materials, and knowledge hubs to support sustained adoption and a smooth transition to enhanced Atlassian tooling and practices.
- Track engagement metrics, identify areas for improvement, and ensure alignment with key organizational objectives and performance KPIs.
- Serve as a coach and mentor to our TPM team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.

Individual pay within the range will be determined based on job related-factors such as skills, experience, and education or training.
The base pay range for this role in the SF Bay Area / NYC area is :
204,000 - $240,000 USD
The base pay range for this role in California (excluding SF Bay Area), New York (excluding NYC), Seattle Metro, Denver / Boulder Metro, Washington D.C., or Maryland is :
187,000 - $220,000 USD
The base pay range for this role in Colorado (excluding Denver / Boulder Metro), Illinois, Minnesota, or Washington (excluding Seattle Metro) is :
170,000 - $200,000 USD
