The Partnership Specialist is a key member of the Office of Corporate Relations, responsible for fostering and managing relationships with corporate partners to support the mission. This role involves coordinating corporate engagement efforts, developing partnerships, securing funding and resources, conducting research and gathering data to support efforts and supporting the strategic goals of the university. The Partnership Specialist will work closely with internal partners and stakeholders, including faculty, administration, and students, to align corporate partnerships with university initiatives.

NATURE AND SCOPE :
Internal contacts include administrators, support staff, faculty, and students from various departments throughout the organization for gathering and exchanging information. External contacts include individuals from various corporations, local and national non-profit and professional organizations and foundations.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES :
Corporate Partnership Development :
Relationship Building : Cultivate and manage relationships with existing corporate partners, ensuring ongoing engagement and satisfaction.
Prospecting : Identify and research potential corporate partners that align with the university’s strategic goals, academic programs, and research initiatives.
Proposal Development : Develop and present proposals to corporate partners for collaboration opportunities, including sponsorships, research partnerships, internships, and other forms of support.
Strategic Planning and Execution :
Partnership Strategy : Work with the Director of Corporate Relations to develop and implement strategies for corporate engagement that align with the university’s strategic plan.
Project Management : Lead or participate in cross-functional teams to execute corporate partnership initiatives, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet partner expectations.
Metrics and Reporting : Track and report on partnership outcomes, including financial contributions, in-kind support, and the impact on university programs.
Event Coordination and Representation :
Corporate Engagements : Plan, coordinate, and execute events that engage corporate partners, such as university-wide events, networking events, talent acquisition events, corporate campus visits, and general corporate focused experiences. Experience in budget management is essential for the position.
University Representation : Represent the university at external events, conferences, and meetings to promote corporate partnerships and enhance the university’s visibility within the corporate sector.
Communication and Outreach :
Stakeholder Communication : Maintain regular communication with corporate partners to update them on university developments, partnership opportunities, and project progress.
Marketing Support : Create marketing and communications materials associated with various engagement types. Collaborate with the university’s marketing and communications teams to develop materials and campaigns that highlight corporate partnership successes and opportunities.
Internal Collaboration : Work closely with faculty, students, and administrative departments to identify opportunities for corporate engagement and ensure alignment with academic and research priorities.
Resource Development and Fundraising :
Sponsorship and Funding : Secure sponsorships, donations, and other forms of financial support from corporate partners for university events, programs, and research initiatives.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with CRM systems or partnership management software.
Expected Salary Range : $55,000 - $70,000
