Account Executive – Government Information Technology (IT) Product Sales
Position Summary
Hatalom is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Account Executive to lead and expand our IT product sales within the federal, state, and local government sectors. This role will support Hatalom’s expanding government product sales strategy, under contract vehicles.
The ideal candidate has a strong track record in selling IT hardware, software, and related solutions to government agencies, along with a deep understanding of government procurement processes, contract vehicles, and compliance requirements. They will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing product sales opportunities, working closely with internal teams, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), distributors, and government procurement officers to drive revenue growth.Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development:
· Drive IT product sales through General Services Administration (GSA) Schedules, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), Blanket purchase agreements (BPAs), government-wide acquisition contract (GWAC), and other government contract vehicles.
· Identify and develop a pipeline of government product sales opportunities, leveraging market research, agency forecasts, and procurement platforms.
· Utilize government procurement platforms (SAM.gov, GSA eBuy, GovWin, FPDS) to track solicitations, bids, and purchasing trends.
· Engage procurement officers, contracting officials, and end-users to position Hatalom’s products as preferred solutions.
Build and execute targeted sales strategies aligned with government funding cycles, agency budgets, and IT modernization initiatives.
Account & Relationship Management:
· Develop and maintain strong relationships with key government procurement officials, contracting officers, and key stakeholders.
· Act as the primary point of contact for federal, state, and local government clients, ensuring excellent customer service and contract compliance.
· Manage and grow existing government accounts, identifying opportunities for upselling and expansion.
Contracting & COmpliance Support:
· Ensure adherence to FAR/DFARS, GSA Schedule regulations, contract requirements, and other government procurement policies.
· Work with contracts, legal, and compliance teams to review and structure pricing, terms, and contract negotiations.
· Assist with RFIs, RFQs, and government purchase orders to streamline transactions and reduce barriers to procurement.
Collaboration & Reporting
· Work cross-functionally with product managers, OEM partners, marketing, and compliance teams to execute government sales strategies.
· Provide regular sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and activity reports, and to VP of Business Development.
· Stay informed on industry trends, federal IT initiatives, and procurement changes that impact sales strategies.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree in business, Government, Sales, or a related field (preferred but not required).
· Experience: 3-5 years of government sales experience, specifically in IT product sales (hardware, software, networking, and cybersecurity solutions) .
· Strong understanding of government procurement,including contract vehicles (GSA, NASA Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement (SEWP), IDIQs, GWACs, etc.), and government funding cycles.
· Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas in government contracting.
· Strong negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to understand and sell technical or specialized products to government buyers.
· Experience with Salesforce, GovWin, SAM.gov, FPDS, and other government sales platforms.
· Existing relationships with government buyers, contracting officers, and procurement specialists.
· Experience selling through GSA Schedules, SEWP, or other government contract vehicles.
