Summary:
The Curriculum Manager will oversee the development, management, and continuous improvement of training programs and courseware for Marine Corps occupational specialties in support of the ACV program. This role requires extensive knowledge of the Instructional Systems Design (ISD) process, the ADDIE model, and Marine Corps training standards. The Curriculum Manager will conduct detailed training analyses, support technical manual updates, maintain course documentation, and manage instructor certifications. This position works closely with Government stakeholders to ensure training remains current, compliant, and mission-focused. *The position is contingent upon contract award.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and update Program of Instruction (POI) materials for Marine Corps occupational specialty (MOS) training programs, particularly related to ACV systems.
- Conduct Job, Task, Gap, Learning, and Method/Media Analyses in accordance with Marine Corps training development standards.
- Maintain and update Master Courses of Instruction and ensure alignment with current Technical Manuals (TMs), Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), and system updates.
- Manage and resolve Comment Resolution Metrices (CRM) for draft TM reviews; reconcile government responses and provide additional commentary as required.
- Incorporate TM updates and technical content changes into courses of instruction.
- Evaluate instructor proficiency, maintain certification records, and issue instructor credentials to teach assigned programs.
- Assist the Government Training Manager with the review and refinement of PM AAA operational training requirements.
- Support the development and maintenance of training documents including:
- Principal End Item (PEI) Baseline Comparison Reports
- Training Front End Analysis (FEA) Reports
- Training Systems Plans (TSP)
- Participate in quality control practices as prescribed by PM AAA to ensure course materials and instruction meet Marine Corps standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience training service members in a formal military period of instruction or program.
- Practical experience applying Instructional Systems Design (ISD) methodologies and the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate).
- Understanding of Marine Corps Order 1553.1 and the Systems Approach to Training (SAT).
- Strong analytical skills in curriculum design, instructional content evaluation, and gap analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and update complex technical training materials and documentation.
- Familiarity with Marine Corps technical manuals, operational procedures, and training development processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting Marine Corps or other DoD training programs.
- Experience with ACV-related systems and training environments.
- Familiarity with technical manual review workflows and comment resolution processes.
- Advanced degree or certifications in instructional design or adult learning methodologies.
