Role Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic mental health team in our Twin Falls, Idaho, and Burley, Idaho clinics. The ideal candidate will have expertise in conducting psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and overseeing both administrative and clinical staff.
This role reports directly to the supervising psychiatric provider and requires strong leadership capabilities. The position involves working Monday through Friday (negotiable) during normal operating hours from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Our facility specializes in offering cutting-edge therapies, including Ketamine therapy, Spravato, and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS).
Responsibilities
Psychiatric Evaluations:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations to assess patients' mental health needs.
- Formulate accurate diagnoses based on assessment findings.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
Medication Management:
- Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications in accordance with established guidelines and best practices.
- Adjust medication regimens based on patient response and ongoing evaluation.
- Educate patients on medication management and potential side effects.
Leadership and Oversight:
- Provide leadership to both administrative and clinical staff.
- Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
- Collaborate with the supervising psychiatric provider to maintain a high standard of care.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Participate in case conferences and treatment planning meetings.
Therapeutic Modalities:
- Administer and monitor Ketamine therapy, Spravato, and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS).
- Stay updated on advancements in psychiatric treatments and therapies.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing with specialization in Psychiatry.
- Current state licensure as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
- Board certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
- Proven experience in conducting psychiatric evaluations and medication management.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
