Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with various machinery and possess strong mechanical knowledge.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all safety, failsafe, and ergonomic features are functional.
- Perform mechanical/electrical setup and adjustments of equipment prior to production.
- Conduct assigned preventive and scheduled maintenance on all equipment and machinery.
- Correct equipment stoppages and mechanical breakdowns; repair or replace parts, motors, and control devices as needed.
- Install, start up, and try out all new manufacturing and plant equipment and systems.
- Fabricate and repair equipment using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
- Update and maintain accurate records of machine programs, maintenance activities, safety measures, and machine performance.
- Prepare mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Continuously improve equipment to enhance safety and efficiency.
- Provide support to production as needed.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Prior PLC experience is a plus.
Skills/Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in preventative maintenance, mechanical troubleshooting, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, welding, and electrical (high and low voltage) systems.
- Familiarity with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) is highly preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office or MRP (Material Requirements Planning) software is preferred.
- Must be team-oriented and possess strong collaborative skills.
