The Opportunity
If you love keeping things running smoothly and get a thrill from solving IT puzzles, this role is for you. As our IT Specialist, you’ll be the backbone of our tech operations, ensuring our team has the tools and support they need to do their best work. From onboarding new employees with a seamless setup to optimizing security practices, you’ll be an essential part of our growing team.
This role is based in the San Francisco Bay Area due to onsite requirements—because some things just work better in person. If you’re highly organized, thrive in a collaborative environment, and have a knack for untangling IT challenges with a smile, we’d love to meet you.
What You’ll Do
Within 3 Months:
✅ Get up to speed on all the tools and systems we use.
✅ Own the onboarding and offboarding process—making transitions smooth and stress-free.
✅ Set clear Helpdesk response times so the team knows what to expect.
✅ Help keep our physical test lab and office space running like a well-oiled machine.
Within 6 Months:
🔹 Take the lead on an IT project, turning a challenge into a solved problem.
🔹 Run a SaaS audit—because keeping things tidy behind the scenes matters.
🔹 Create documentation and propose policies to make IT operations more seamless.
After 1 Year:
🚀 Identify, prioritize, and run IT projects that improve efficiency and security.
🚀 Fully own security exercises, ensuring our data and systems stay protected.
🚀 Tackle complex Helpdesk requests with confidence and expertise.
🚀 Continuously improve processes and explore automation opportunities.
What You’ll Bring
🔹 2 years of experience supporting an IT department (or equivalent hands-on experience).
🔹 A thoughtful, people-first approach to onboarding, offboarding, and access management.
🔹 A friendly, empathetic, and collaborative mindset—you’re the person people feel comfortable asking for help.
🔹 A talent for organization and documentation (yes, your checklists have checklists).
🔹 Experience troubleshooting and resolving Help Desk requests in a remote environment.
🔹 A solid grasp of SaaS management, including auditing and optimizing tools.
🔹 Knowledge of service licenses, asset management, and device repairs.
🔹 A passion for IT security and a working knowledge of industry best practices.
🔹 The ability to budget and plan for IT needs with both practicality and foresight.
