Overview
We are seeking a reliable and flexible Fill-In Janitorial Worker to join our team on an as-needed basis. In this role, you will support our janitorial staff by performing various cleaning and maintenance tasks. Your contributions will ensure that all facilities remain clean, safe, and welcoming for our customers and employees. This position is ideal for individuals looking for flexible hours and the opportunity to impact our facilities' overall environment positively. We have facilities all over the State of Missouri; most are local in Saint Louis, but some are as far as West Plains and Kirksville, Missouri.
Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing designated areas.
- Maintain the cleanliness of restrooms, break rooms, and common areas, ensuring these spaces are well-stocked with necessary supplies.
- Assist with the floor care by conducting activities like buffing, polishing, and maintaining various floor types.
- Follow safety protocols while carrying out custodial duties in various settings, including commercial and industrial environments..
- Report any maintenance needs or repairs to the appropriate personnel promptly.
- Assist with facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs promptly.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is adequately maintained, stored, and used according to established procedures.
- Adapt quickly to changing schedules and tasks, providing support as necessary.
Qualifications
MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVERS LICENSE AND ABLE TO OPERATE A VEHICLE FOR THIS POSITION.
- Previous experience in janitorial or custodial services is beneficial but not mandatory. We are willing to train.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment and techniques is an asset.
- Good communication skills for effective reporting and collaboration with team members.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform tasks efficiently, thoroughly.
- Ability to work independently and part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
