*** 3-5 Part-time positions available (Job sharing available)
POSITION OVERVIEW:
All programs are Monday through Thursday July 7- Aug 7, 2024. Two programs provide an additional week 8/18-8/21.
Hours: Wampatuck 9-11:30; Hatherly 8:30-1:30; Gates/ SHS 8-1
“Wrap Week”: 8:30-12:30 on 8/18; 8/19; 8/20; 8/21 at Hatherly and at Gates
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide nursing services to the student population on a day-to-day, as-needed basis
- Nursing needs could include absence coverage
- Provide triage, nursing assessment, and treatment of illness and injury
- Administer medications as needed
- Provide emergency care in cases of injury or sudden illness
- Communicate with parents, faculty/staff, and healthcare providers as needed. Ensure that ESY staff are aware of allergies or any serious medical conditions
- Perform such other tasks as may be assigned by the building Principal and/or the Special Education Director, including monitoring the door for student arrivals
QUALIFICATIONS-REQUIRED:
- Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts
- Current certification in CPR and First Aid
- Experience in child health, community health, or other relevant clinical nursing.
- Employment is based on the successful completion of a CORI and fingerprinting background check
- Current authorization to work in the United States by the first day of employment.
QUALIFICATIONS-PREFERRED:
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 2 year(s) of relevant work experience
