What are the responsibilities and job description for the ESY Nurse position at Silver Lake Regional School District?
The Silver Lake Regional School District and Superintendency Union #31 districts are seeking multiple certified nurses to work in the Extended School Year (ESY) program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review health records for all students.
- Assess and evaluate students' health while at the ESY program, as needed.
- Document first aid and illness care provided to staff and students; complete accident reports and maintain a health room activity log.
- Maintain First Aid supplies and equipment in appropriate locations.
- Utilize effective techniques to counsel students, parents, and school personnel and plan action for eliminating, minimizing, or accepting health problems.
- Administer medication as prescribed and approved.

ESY Program Overview
- July 7, 2025 through August 7, 2025
- ESY programs serve students aged 3-22
- Days & times of services:
- Grades K-12 : Monday - Thursday, 8:30 am - 12:30 pm
- PreK: Students will have a two-day schedule of either Monday/Tuesday Wednesday/Thursday from 8:30 - 12:00 p.m.
- Data collection / progress monitoring collected weekly in regards to individualized education plans (IEPs)
The compensation for this assignment will be $40 per hour.
